Welcome to the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB)!

UCSB is one of 10 University of California campuses. Our campus is ideally nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains, about 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Known as the American Riviera, Santa Barbara is famous for its Spanish colonial architecture, beautiful beaches, and Mediterranean-like climate. Its mild temperature and prime location allow for a variety of outdoor activities all year round.
UCSB boasts 5 Nobel Prize winners since 1998, is listed as the 12th best public universities in the nation by U.S. News and World Reports, and has been named one of Newsweek Magazine’s “hottest” universities, making it the ideal place to study abroad!
Prospective Students:
Are you a non-U.S. student eager to study abroad and experience the culture of Central California?
The Education Abroad Program (EAP) offers students from our partner universities (http://www.eap.ucop.edu/reciprocity/UC_hostsREC_06-07.htm) the opportunity to come to UCSB as a visiting reciprocity student for one to two quarters or a year. If you are interested in applying to study at UCSB as an EAP reciprocity student, please visit the international exchanges program at your home university for application materials.
If you are not a student at one of our partner institutions, you are not eligible to come to UCSB through EAP. If you are a non-U.S. student and are interested to enroll in a degree program at UCSB, please visit the UCSB Admissions Office website (http://www.admissions.ucsb.edu/) for undergraduate admissions information or the UCSB Graduate Division website (http://www.graddiv.ucsb.edu/) for graduate admissions information. If you are interested in a short-term visit as a student at UCSB, please consider a program through UCSB Extension (link to: http://www.extension.ucsb.edu/ ).
